Game Changers
Our Commitment to Progress
During my next term, I pledge to continue to champion the game changers that matter most to our community. Here, you'll find the pivotal initiatives and transformative ideas that will shape our future. Together, we can tackle challenges head-on, foster innovation, and create lasting change that uplifts every individual. Join me in exploring these vital areas where we can make a real difference!
Some of the game changer ideas I will fight for when re-elected:
- Create unique opportunities to engage students at PSD and CSU to participate in the work of City Council. Local government should be fun!
- Promote mental and physical health through the creation of more public pickleball courts. The demand is high and the availability is low. And, the private clubs are woefully expensive for many in our community.
- Maintain safe, clean, livable neighborhoods.
Protect quality of life for our seniors, and every one of our marginalized and vulnerable populations. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Practice good stewardship of our natural areas.
Protect our Poudre River.
Actively support local businesses and entrepreneurships.
Advocate for partnerships that create truly affordable housing.
Support access to community mental health services.
Support the protection of animals in our community.
Maintain safe routes to our schools.
Actively support our Climate Action goals.
Maintain transparency and honesty.

In addition, I would like to:
- Explore ways to create truly affordable housing without sacrificing Downtown parking. We have thriving local businesses that will be negatively impacted by a loss of parking. Our elderly, our disabled, and families with young children, to name a few, might avoid shopping and dining in Old Town if the parking situation is too difficult for them. This, in turn, has a negative financial impart on the City as it diminishes the sales tax revenue. Our businesses sustain us!
- Promote the addition of more bus stops in the northern reaches of Fort Collins. In particular, the Tres Colonias and the Hickory mobile home park need a stop. There are few transportation options for many of these residents;
Support NoCo Foundation’s efforts to form regional partnerships to create truly affordable housing. Collaboration is the key to bringing housing for marginalized populations to fruition. We need to focus on 30% AMI to meet the needs of our most vulnerable residents;
Explore ways to create density and avoid sprawl without overcrowding existing neighborhoods;
Advocate for lower property taxes for Seniors to enable them to stay in their homes and not be priced out by unaffordable taxes; and
Advocate for Microtransit options to meet the needs of residents in low-demand areas of Fort Collins.
